Poem: Ariyake no/nurete ochitaru/fuyo kanaThe morning moon-/the mallow wet with early dew Ariyake means the moon still visible in the morning on certain days of the month. The rose mallows have collected the moisture in their cup-like flowers and will soon drop from the weight of the water. The poem can be given an erotic reading using the same imagery.
