Marks: On the silver band at the foot of each piece: "STERLING" "2072" (each digit individually stamped), followed by a small oval die mark which is illegible and "ETATS UNIS." Glaze stamp in green on the underside of a script "L" with an open wreath surround - the mark Lenox used from 1906-1930. Although the donor was certain the porcelain was sent to Gorham to be overlaid, there is no Gorham mark on any of the pieces,a dn it is unlikely that they would have been marked.
