Excavating the Storage Room College Faculty Teaching During the Fall of 2015, Brown’s graduate students in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture undertook an investigation of the wood sculptures in the RISD Museum collections.

The goal was to give museum-goers a tangible point of access to art, and to make unexpected groupings of objects.

One way the RISD Museum is taking on this work is through All-Staff Dialogues, an ongoing series of staff-directed conversations around topics relevant to social equity in museums and beyond.
